Description
Is the United States becoming a police state? The answer seems to be yes, because many of the features of police state–such as widespread surveillance of citizens, censorship and suppression of free speech, ideological indoctrination in schools and the media, political targeting of dissidents, and political prisoners—are now present and observable in the United States.
Indeed, both sides of the political aisle agree that America is in danger of losing its democracy and its liberty. The only difference is that each accuses the other of seeking to establish a police state. Who’s right? The film resolves the question by defining what a police state is, and showing how it got started and how it operates, both behind the scenes and out in the open.
The film shows how the police state emerged out of the ashes of 9/11, when citizens gave their government a whole new set of police powers, intending that those be used against Islamic terrorists from abroad. Over time, remarkably, those same powers were turned against American citizens—patriots, Christians and conservatives—who are accused of being domestic terrorists.
The film also identifies Donald Trump as the primary target of the police state, and the January 6 protesters—some serving long sentences for peacefully entering the Capitol to make their voices heard–as the first political prisoners in peacetime U.S. history. Working in collaboration with Dan Bongino—former NYPD officer, Secret Service Agent, and now political commentator—Dinesh D’Souza burrows deep into the bowels of the police state, interviewing insiders and whistleblowers, and also ordinary citizens who have been hounded, raided and targeted by an expansive police state apparatus that stretches across the public, private and nonprofit sector.

Saw the movie last night. Great film. Nice to see the whisle blowers in the Goverment Agencies and those from Goggle & Facebook. Just purchased the dvd and will be sending it to my brother. He has no idea how Patriots are treated in this country. Maybe this dvd will enlighten him. The one thing that amazes me is, if I were to have my door kicked down in the middle of the night I can’t imagine not directing massive firepower in the direction of the perps. Of course this is what they want. I am tired of the talk show hosts continuing to say it’s just the higher ups, we support the rank & file. It’s the rank & file carrying out these orders. Needs a Blu-ray. Will purchase than. I no longer purchase DVDs. I have a 4K TV and DVD does not upscale that well. I know that DVD is the highest selling format still. You’re not wrong to release it on DVD but to not release a movie of this significance on Blu-ray is a shame.

Saw the movie Wednesday night and it was everything and more than we expected it to be. If we hadn’t already known what is happening to our beloved America the information would have been overwhelming. People need to see this movie, especially those who aren’t awake and aware. I watched with mixed feelings because I love this beautiful country. Yet I know that everything that we see going on in the world is prophetic according to God’s Word and is leading to Christ’s return. I never expected to see these things played out in my lifetime. It’s almost as if the daily news is being read from the Bible. Thank you for making this informative movie available to us. We need to be prepared for what we are about to experience as our freedom is taken from us and the world becomes like nothing we have ever known. God is still in control and always will be.

I’m just really afraid this is going to get so little viewing this way. Yes, people will see it in the limited showings, and some will purchase DVDs and share them with others, but it’s such a minimal amount of people. Why isn’t it streaming online, even for purchase, the way 200 mules was? 200 mules was also widely available in theaters for quite a while. I know this is a costly endeavor, but this is important information and most of us that will see it already know the dangers coming our way. It needs to be available to more people before it’s too late. I am not available tonight (the premier) and so I’m stuck ordering a DVD (how many people even have DVD players anymore?) as my only way to watch it. I’m sure you could find a way to raise the $$ to distribute it further. You are smart men with a lot of resources.

I went with a couple of friends to see Police State at the Wednesday showing. While I listen to Dinesh and Dan, I knew about all of this happening, but I have to say it was put together so perfectly. Seeing all of these events in one film is heartbreaking, takes your breath away, and makes you become even stronger in you conviction to do something, no matter how small. Thank you for making this film. I guess I am one of the few that still has a DVD player and will gladly buy some DVDs. I am going to leave the DVD with a typed letter at various locations so maybe some people will see it that are clueless. Yes, it may get discarded by someone (Democrat) but at least it will be a try.

I was very happy to see the two people whose podcasts I listen to every day collaborated on this film. The film was cinematic, heartbreaking and infuriating. As others have written, I knew about much of the gradual loss of rights Americans were experiencing. Police State takes us back to the beginnings of government encroaching on rights, and it wasn’t 9/11, as I would have thought. Bring a couple of tissues because there are heartbreaking accounts of Americans whose lives were ruined. But also be prepared to be angry. My grandfather died in Prum, Germany near the end of WWII European conflict. He gave up his life, as others have, so we could remain free. It is time for Americans to wake up and hold our employees (the government) accountable.

Highly disappointed in the marketing of this film in theaters. I go to the theater at least three times a month. Was looking forward to ‘Police State’ but couldn’t buy tickets at the showing, very disappointed. My rating therefore is for movie availability and ease of attending, since I still haven’t been able to see it in a theater. In the future sell tickets at the box office. Is that so difficult?

We were going to watch the streaming premier, but I was not comfortable with the streaming option. I understand if the usual streaming services would not host it, but I want to vet any new service before forking over cash. I just don’t have much time for due diligence these days. I was going to purchase a BlueRay, but only the DVD is available, noting that it cannot be censored. What? Again, no time to investigate. This week after researching it appears that BlueRay censoring is mostly conspiracy theory, as it is backwards to how the HDCP system works. I’ll be purchasing the DVD anyway, but lament missing a higher-quality version. Downloading non-DRM’d mp4 files is usually a non-starter, too easy to pirate. But I am concerned if there is something about Blueray that may expose too much about the production that Dinesh needs to keep it lower quality? Maybe the distributors for BlueRays are blocking this? Maybe Rumble would show it, like Youtube RED?

I really, really want to see this, but come on – it was only in the theater for 2 days under a private showing? I see that it is available for streaming, but it does not list the cost. Also, if you all haven’t noticed, there’s a major recession going on, and so the cost is really prohibitive for a lot of people right now. I would think that $5 would be about right for my budget as well as the budget of most Americans. I think that it is important for this to be seen by as many people as possible, so they should lower the price to create more access.

To all God-fearing men and women. Jack hibbs of real Life ministries in Chino hills California, challenged his congregation months ago to pray everyday at 5:16 p.m. for our communities our country and the world abroad. The Bible says that judgment begins in the house of God. So as bible-believing God-fearing men and women, we ought to take up this challenge as well in light of everything that we are witnessing and seeing throughout the world. As we all know, our heavenly father is our best advocate through all of this. So I am posting this, in hopes that millions upon millions will take up this Challenge and covenant before God to bow our heads at the same time every day until Jesus comes back or we go home to Him. This prayer challenge is based on James 5:16, set your phones for 5:16 p.m. everyday and whether it’s a 10-second prayer or 10 minute prayer or however long you pray, just know that you are praying right along with millions of others right at that exact time or close to it knowing some can’t bow their head right at that time because of situations. This is a movement to hopefully move the heart and hand of God to do something on the behalf of His people. This is our best defense, if any of you are wondering what should we do. As of the first of January there was already reported over 2 million people in sync together with this covenant before God. When I heard this, there was no way I could turn down the challenge before God-Almighty. If this only touches the heart of one, I’ve done my job but I would hope that this would touch the heart of every person that reads this, I look forward to being with you all in Prayer at 5:16 p.m. everyday.
